Book Haul

hubby is away on a business trip and left money for our allowance, so I decided to spend some of it on books and considered it my birthday present.  I always pass by this quaint used book store on the way to the office but we are always in hurry (because we're always running late :p), that we never had the time to stop by there.  Since I was early today, I decided to check it out.  As expected, it was quaint--and more!  I love the cozy feeling it has and how comfortable furniture was scattered in the tiny space, inviting one to just curl up and read a book.  Because the money I had was not much, I had to find the cheapest ones I could find (not a problem for me coz I do love a good bargain!).  Found two Jackie Collins books I didn't have yet (she's one of my list of authors which I actually go out to buy her "real" books to collect instead of getting the ebooks) and decided to test out new authors.  I got Jayne Ann Kentz because her book looked promising (aaand was very cheap at P30) and a Danielle Steele, an author which a voracious reader like me should have read already a long time ago but sadly that's not the case.  So decided I should check out what the hoopla was all about and bought one of her books (plus the fact that this one was relatively cheap at P75 since here books usually go for at least P180 and up a pop).  Oh, and I also found a book in Spanish to "challenge myself" in learning the language.  I plan to read it once I get a bit more advanced.  Hope I can find the time (and money) to go back when they have new books delivered, although that needs to be scheduled because that would most definitely take up at least half a day...
