Don't Judge Me, I'm Not a Book

Saw this on my facebook feed.  Another take on the saying, "Don't Judge a Book By Its Cover."  Pretty cool idea, as sometimes I do turn away a book if the cover isn't interesting enough.

Book Hunt: Melania Trump: The Inside Story

so this showed up on my facebook wall today... it's a pretty interesting article.. Donald Trump has been front and center in the news lately with his bid for the presidential candidacy.. quite ironic that with his very vocal and controversial stance on immigration when his mother and 2 wives are immigrants themselves that as the article says, "If he's as concerned as he says he is by all the "people that are from all over and they're killers and rapists and they're coming into this country," he might consider building a wall around his pants."

But as the article is titled, Who is Melania Trump?, it piqued my curiosity.  I don't really know much about her, only that she was a former model who married Trump... she wasn't exactly a household name model like Gisele Bundchen or Adriana Lima so she had this "Russian-Mail-Order-Bride" vibe to her..

It's fascinating coz she could be the next First Lady of the United States.  So who is she??  Is she a dumb bimbo who got lucky and latched on to a really rich old dude?  Or is she really an intelligent, cunning gold digger playing the long con, hoping to outlive the really rich old dude?  Or is this really a love match?  She sounds like one of those Jackie Collins characters with sketchy pasts who overcame obstacles and now living it up in luxurious houses in Park Avenue.

The article mentions an unauthorized biography of Melania entitled Melania Trump: The Inside Story written by Bojan Požar and Igor Omerza that I am soo itching to get my hands on..

Book Haul

Got a lot of new books... a few from fave authors, most from new ones.. I wanted to put a collage of all the book titles but it totaled to 66 books so I decided against it because with that number of books, the covers might not be very visible anymore... but mainly it's because I felt too lazy to do it..

I'll just tell you who the authors are... So I found new ones from J.D. Robb (she released like 3 books in 6 months..she is very prolific and I'm glad coz I miss Dallas and Peabody), Judy Blume, Anna David and Beatriz Williams...

I am also testing out Mary Kay Andrews, Bethany Chase, Bill Clegg, Laura Dave, Patrick DeWitt, Jane Green, Patti Callahan Henry, Steena Holmes, Emily Liebert, MJ Pullen and Renee Rosen...

Boy am I glad that I'm reading for fun now instead of doing the book challenge... can't wait to start reading...

2015 Book Challenge Update

So I have 4 books left on the challenge.  I've kinda running out of time (extended time, hehe).  I'm having a hard time getting the books for three of the challenges.  Because it's so specific, the books that can apply are quite limited.  Even if I have chosen what these books are, the matter of actually finding copies of them are a different story.

So now I'm stuck 'till I can find these books.  Although I do have one challenge with a book on hand but it's for the classic romance challenge.  I am dreading this because I know how that would be.  Having just gone through Lolita and The House of Seven Gables, I'm am in no mood for the "rambling" type of writing from old novels.  I like my books short and to the point.
