If you want a book description, you can check out on goodreads.

As with all In Death Series books, I gobbled this up in no time. Thankfully this wasn't as gory as Devoted In Death.

I'm not really a fan of writers digging into main characters or friends of main characters for crazy plot material. This usually happens in TV Series where they kill of or come up with something outlandish to keep viewers on their toes (and ratings high). Take for example Grey's Anatomy... boy is that the most unluckiest batch of surgical interns—one of them married a lesbian then died unexpectedly, one had a crazy girlfriend then moved on to two almost baby mamas, another one fell in love with a dying man then inherited a million dollars then found out she had cancer, one was left at the altar and got pinned with an sharp icicle just outside the hospital, another one almost died from a bomb explosion had her husband in a plane crash but said husband eventually died.. the same hospital had doctors losing a leg, been in car crashes, plane crashes, attacked by random crazy person with a gun, went through a merger, etc. etc. etc... yes, these are all plausible and probably all happened in real life... but in one single hospital?? You'd think that hospital is cursed! Anyways, I digress.. the reason I mention this is because Brotherhood in Death's victim has a connection to Dennis Mira.. I've noticed that the In Death Series are slowly going thru its major and minor characters for stories.. I know for Peabody, Trueheart and Nadine are somewhat believable given their line of work... but we've had Mavis as a murder suspect, there was Summerset framed, Caro thru her daughter, Dr. Morris thru Amaryllis... and now Dennis Mira thru his cousin... see the pattern? But this didn't really bother me that so much as it was still believable..

What else can I say? hmmm... As to the "crime" in this book, it's the usual J.D. Robb fare and I loved it.. as to the characters, Trueheart is officially now a detective.  Dallas already is looking at another uniform to replace him, forgot the name but it was someone already introduced in a previous book.. All is well with Dallas and Roarke as well as the people in Cop Central.. Mavis didn't make an appearance but it was mentioned that Bella has a birthday coming up.. Planning on reading Wonderment in Death next, it was supposed to be the next one after Devoted in Death but I forgot the sequence and read this one by mistake.. oh well..
