For the final installment of the series, this time, the
Amelia story is intertwined with Halyley & Harper’s. I guess it would be too unrealistic already
to have very specific details of the past documented and still surviving a
hundred years later (not that having a crazy ghost possessing Hayley is
“realistic”, haha).
So I finally found out what happened to Amelia. She wasn’t killed as I guessed. She planned
to kill herself and the baby in the Harper House so they can be together
forever and in their “rightful” place.
But she only succeeded in killing herself. The nursemaid saved the baby. I think she was suffering from a severe bout
of post-partum depression and not “crazy already” as the other characters
believed. Because if she was already
crazy pre-baby then that would mean that crazy runs in the family and there’s
no evidence of that. Post-partum
depression makes more sense and the baby kidnapping pushed her to the edge.
